What makes Consonance Collaborative different?

All of our programs are based in research and theory in the social sciences. Whether we are doing a presentation, workshop, group, or individual work with you, the foundation for our programs will always be integrated with current research and solid theoretical work.

We are also dedicated to diversity and a social justice approach that recognizes the unique ways that racial identity, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, and other aspects of identity contribute to the ways in which we view ourselves and our place in the world. All of our programs seek to honor all people and be empowering to all involved in them.

What makes CC particularly unique is our emphasis on collaboration. This collaboration comes from two places. All of our programs are created collaboratively within CC. This means we utilize the strengths and expertise of our diverse consultants to create interesting and engaging programs.

Most importantly, we collaborate with you. Rather than offering generic pre-made programs, we tailor-make programs that will best meet the needs of your institution and support the work that you and your colleagues are doing. This collaborative approach is intended to empower you to continue to include the programming we offer in future events and be part of an on-going effort to improve the lives of those with whom you work.
